Jelly Roll Day Class-Wish Quilt Block 10am-1pm

Saturday, September 21st is National Jelly Roll Day and to celebrate, we will be hosting a class on learning how to use a jelly roll and make the Wish quilt pattern. This class would be best suited to someone who is a confident beginner and has some quilting experience. These blocks use traditional piecing techniques. you should complete at least 1 star with its' tails block during this class.

What you need to bring to class:

Fabrics of your choosing to make the size quilt you have selected. See chart below for fabric requirements.

Sewing machine (this is optional, you are welcome to use one of our classroom machines, but some people prefer to use their own)

Thread for piecing

Scissors

Rotary cutter

Small cutting mat (optional) Stitch has 2 large cutting stations that can also be used, but would have to be shared.

Acrylic quilting ruler for cutting

Iron surfaces & irons (shared between 2 students)

Fabric requirements by quilt size: 

Baby Quilt-finishes at 36" x 50": Fabric for stars-2 fat quarters (1/2 yard), Fabric for star tails-12 jelly roll strips, Background fabric-1 1/4 yards *(There is a note saying you can add more jelly roll strips to get more variety for this size quilt, so bring your whole roll to decide!)

Throw Quilt-finishes at 60" x 73": Fabric for stars-4 fat quarters (1 yard), Fabric for star tails-30 jelly roll strips, Background fabric-2 1/2 yards

The pattern also includes sizes for a twin and queen quilt. If you need the information on the requirements for those sizes, please refer to the 2nd picture.
