This is a 3-part class that will include everything from cutting all your pieces in part 1 to piecing in part 2 (with potential homework to complete the piecing before class 3) and then finally quilting and binding in part 3. This is a wonderful class for a beginner quilter.
Part 1 will consist of cutting all pieces of our table runner and getting organized and ready to sew for part 2 and part 3 will be quilting and binding.
What you need to have available prior to class:
Sewing machine that is set up and ready to sew.
Walking Foot for your machine
Laptop or phone that can be used to view virtual class
Pattern-shipped to you or local pick up if you prefer
Cutting mat
Rotary Cutter & Scissors
Acrylic Ruler
Thread for piecing and quilting
Preferred Basting method: Safety Pins or Basting Spray. I prefer the 505 Basting Spray for my projects. Low-no odor and easy to use!
Fabric:
Seven 1/8 yards of solids or colorful prints to be used in your popsicles
1/8 yard solid brown or tan for popsicle sticks
Four 1/4 yards for backgrounds of popsicles. They used 4 low volume cream prints.
1/4 yard for binding
1 yard backing
Batting that is at least 14 inches wide and 56 inches long. Feel free to piece scraps you may have or a throw size batting measures 60" x 60". Batting can be whatever kind you like.
Instructor: Angie Miller
Cost of 3-course class: $45 includes online instruction and pattern
